Après la merveilleuse série sur la forêt d’Alsace, František Zvardon montre dans cette série en noir et blanc, des « paysages humains », des instants qui parlent de ses rencontres dans le cadre de ses expéditions dans le monde entier.

František Zvardon saisit les gens au cœur de leur existence quotidienne, répétitive et banale, intégrés dans leur cadre habituel, ordinaire, et la plupart du temps sans gloire. A la différence des ateliers de peinture, il n’y a ici aucune pose. Aucun aménagement esthétique de l’environnement. Il n’y a ici qu’une brève mesure du mouvement incessant pour un instant arrêté. La photographie ici, conserve toute sa puissance.

František Zvardon fotografiert die Menschen mitten in ihrer täglichen Existenz, die sich wiederholt und banal ist, in ihrem normalen Umfeld, gewöhnlich, und zumeist ohne Glanz und Ruhm. Anders als in einem Maler-Atelier, wird hier keine Pose eingenommen. Das Umfeld wird nicht ästhetisch dekoriert. Auf seinen Fotos erahnt man für einen kurzen Moment die unendliche Bewegung eines festgehaltenen Augenblicks. Hier behält die Fotografie ihre ganze Kraft.

František Zvardon captures people in the middle of their daily existence which may be repetitive and even banal, integrated in their usual and ordinary environment, most of the time without any glory. As opposed to a painter’s studio, nobody takes a particular pose. The environment is not nicely arranged. There is just this short understanding of the eternal movement of a fixed moment. Here, photography keeps all of its power.
