And the world simply looks elsewhere…
Today is the fourth day of the hunger strike by prisoners on death row in Iran's notorious Ghezel Hesar prison. The world remains silent.

(KL/KD) – Iran continues with its incredible number of executions. In one year, an estimated 2,000 opponents of the regime were executed, mostly on flimsy charges, after trials that flouted the rule of law. The hunger strikers know that many of them do not have long to live, because the murderous thirst of the theocratic mullah regime knows no humanity.
Here is the translation of the text below the video that appears at the end of this article: “Greetings to the noble people of Iran. This is Ghezel Hesar Prison. We are on the second day of our hunger strike. Because of the countless executions where the Islamic Republic kills our compatriots and friends every week, we ask all honorable people of Iran to support us. We too are children of this land. No to execution – Stop executions.“
It is a cry of despair. The West must act, for example by supporting the National Council of Resistance in Iran, which is organizing broad political support for Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan from exile, but so far this political support in Europe and the USA is of little help to the prisoners on death row, as they can be taken from their cells and executed at any time.
The fate of these people concerns us all, and we should not forget that numerous foreign prisoners are also being held in prisons such as this one or in Evin, whose fate is at the at the mercy of the mullahs.
The video and photo are of poor quality because they were taken at great personal risk and smuggled out of the prison. The verified source is the MEK resistance network in Iran.
