Only bad news from Iran

The news that reaches us daily from Iran bears witness of the martyrdom of the Iranian people, who are enslaved by the cold-hearted mullah regime.

(KL) – When one speaks of Iran today, this magnificent country with its millennia-old advanced civilization, one can only shake one’s head. The elderly mullahs have established a murderous regime and defend it with the brutality and violence of the Revolutionary Guards, the likes of which Iran has never seen, not even under the Shah, who also oppressed and murdered his people. Although protests are increasing in Iran, especially among students, these protests are life-threatening for the demonstrators.

Iran is currently moving from crisis to crisis. The water shortage in Tehran is so severe that evacuation of the metropolis is being considered. In this oil-producing country, gasoline is scarce and air pollution is so bad that 200,000 Iranians had to go to the emergency room in November, and mortality rose by 20% that month. In wealthy Iran, everything is in short supply today and survival is becoming a daily challenge. But these are “only” the external circumstances.

Far worse is the mullahs’ execution frenzy, which reached a sad climax in November. In November alone, the mullahs had 335 people executed, including seven women, and these elderly blasphemers organized two public executions that could not have been more barbaric. The mullahs’ strategy is simple: by spreading fear and terror, they hope to prevent an uprising by the population, because the increasing number of protests pose the ultimate threat to the regime.

The 18 people in our article image show opposition figures who currently risk execution every day. The mullahs are not concerned about the demonstrations taking place in many Iranian cities under the slogan “No to executions”, as long as they can remain in power.

The mullahs’ behavior is a complete misinterpretation of the Koran. Islam is not a religion that authorizes the mass slaughter of opponents of the regime, and the criticism that is rightly directed at the repressive mullah regime is by no means blasphemy, but rather an expression of dissatisfaction with a deeply corrupt system that exploits the country and its people for its own benefit and in the process, commits systematic mass murder.

The rest of the world cannot continue to stand by and watch as the mullah regime tramples on the most basic human rights and commits this mass murder. The international community must finally take action, not with half-hearted sanctions that no one really implements anyway, but with political and economic pressure that will bring an end to the already faltering mullah regime.

The alternative has long been on the table – the 10-point plan of the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance in Iran (NCRI), Maryam Rajavi, a plan that outlines the transition to a democratic Iran in which human rights are restored, death penalty and torture are abolished, women have equal rights with men, and all this in a nuclear-free country that no longer supports terrorism in the Middle East and becomes an element of order in this crisis-ridden region.

Many politicians in Europe and the US have expressed their solidarity with the NCRI and Iran, but these important words must now be followed by action. Maryam Rajavi should be invited to address the UN General Assembly, where she should explain to the nations of the world how to help the Iranian people and end the murderous mullahs’ regime. In view of the worsening situation in Iran, we can no longer stand idly by.
